Dive No. 11: Pinnacles, Breaker Bay, Wellington, New Zealand

E-mail Print PDF

I recommend this dive.

We fed some fish by cutting open a sea urchin. They are a pest here, because they have no natural enemies in New Zealand and since they eat kelp, they are a real plague, destroying the kelp forests which are home to many species. Feeding the fish was fun and a few really big ones follwed us around afterwards. I found the shell of a paua and a golf ball. Lauren Hill once again went with us on this dive.
